Three Word Wednesday: Clear it out

Image

This is my first attempt writing for Three Word Wednesday. I have seen it in some wonderful blogs I follow (http://withlove-simplybeth.blogspot.gr/ and http://myfreshlybrewedlife.com/  and decided to give it a try.

For the past three months we have been working on renovating our apartment. It is small 72 square meter apartment which is over 40yrs old. This was my parent’s home when we moved from Australia to Greece. We moved into it about 5 years ago after my father had past away. We painted it and removed the wall to wall carpet.

As the years went by the walls became dirty again, the kitchen cabinets ,sink and windows were falling apart and one of the walls in the one room was full of mold. We decided we needed to work on it… Seeing that we couldn’t hire anyone due to our low budget we decided to start doing most of the work on our own and if there was something we couldn’t manage then we would hire someone.

Our home has things everywhere.. Boxes, bags, books, clothes, and other things are in every room. As I have been working on all this, the Lord has been doing a renovation in my inner home, the temple which the Holy Spirit abides in, my heart.

We tend to cling on so many material things and sometimes we do not even know we do so. The same thing happens with our inner home/heart. We cling onto things of the past, hurts, feelings, situations, conditions or things in our present life that just makes our inner home a chaotic place full of clutter.

These past couple of weeks as I spend more time in prayer and in His word, I feel that he is telling me “Clear it Out!” De-clutter both your apartment and your inner home. It is a time of new beginnings where He will bring perfect order and peace.

Jesus cleansed the temple and said that it was a house of prayer not a den of thieves. My prayer and desire is that He will clear it out with me and make this temple too a house of prayer and praise..

If you desire perfect peace and order in your life, just let Jesus “Clear it out”

Wishing you all a good evening!

Blessings,

Natasha

  1. I am so glad that you joined in! It has blessed me the last few weeks & I am sure it will bless you as well! I loved that your words were “Clear It Out” as opposed to “Clean It Out.” Seriously. I realized that sometimes we can make things neat & tidy when we truly are to get rid of it totally. And that goes for our hearts as well as our homes 🙂 So thank you for this today!
    Have a blessed day!

    1. Thank you Beth for your encouraging words! I am so amazed how wonderful our God is and how He brings us all together from all over the world! Blessings to you

    1. I totally relate with you. The same with me… Too much clutter in my life and home..The more we yeild and cling to Him, the more He cleanses us and makes us new..He is the potter and we are the clay in His hands waiting for Him to create the vessel He desires.

      1. amen to that, drawing closer to Him each day, the more we read the bible the closer we get, we draw near to Him and He draws near to us..

YOUR COMMENTS BRING SO MUCH JOY TO ME, ESPECIALLY KNOWING THAT MOST OF US ARE MILES AND MILES AWAY FROM EACH OTHER. IT MAKES ME FEEL AS IF WE ARE TOGETHER ENJOYING FELLOWSHIP WITH EACH OTHER, ENCOURAGING ONE ANOTHER AS WE GET ON WITH OUR DAILY JOURNEY IN LIFE
