Grace: Five Minute Friday

God's grace

It’s that lovely day of the week where we join with Lisa-Jo Baker in Five Minute Friday. This weeks prompt: Grace

Go

In the beginning of my 31 Days series I  shared my thoughts about His Grace.

While painting our home, He showed me that whatever seems or is destroyed, once it is left in His hands becomes beautiful. Just like paint covers the walls and they become, fresh, new, beautiful, that is how His grace covers us when we run to Him in repentance and surrender all of our being in His hands.

We were once broken, messed up, lost, filthy, but now we are covered by His colorful grace.

Colorful grace? Grace has color? No, in reality Grace does not have a color. If it did have color it would be a rainbow or Joseph’s robe. Not one color but many.

Colors just like numbers symbolize something in the Word. Purple/Scarlet symbolizes honor, royalty, Red symbolizes the blood of Jesus the Lamb of God,White symbolizes purity and holiness. These are not the only colors, but there are many more:blue, orange, green, silver, gold….

God made a covenant with Noah concerning mankind and placed a rainbow in the sky. Joseph put on the colorful robe his father Jacob had made for him. This to me is God’s colorful grace.

All I need in my life, all that is sufficient for me is His Grace.

  1. All sufficient grace. Thanks for that sweet reminder. I like thinking about the colors of grace too. That is a fun way to think of grace — it is like Joseph’s coat which didn’t keep him from suffering, but led to God’s redemptive purpose. That is grace. Thanks for your post.

YOUR COMMENTS BRING SO MUCH JOY TO ME, ESPECIALLY KNOWING THAT MOST OF US ARE MILES AND MILES AWAY FROM EACH OTHER. IT MAKES ME FEEL AS IF WE ARE TOGETHER ENJOYING FELLOWSHIP WITH EACH OTHER, ENCOURAGING ONE ANOTHER AS WE GET ON WITH OUR DAILY JOURNEY IN LIFE
