I just love trees. They offer so much to us. Oxygen, shade, coolness. They are clothed with such beautiful colors. They bear fruit to help nourish us. They help us understand the change of seasons. They are a part of God’s wonderful masterpiece- Creation.

all through out the Bible many different trees are mentioned. The tree of life, the tree of knowledge of good and evil, the cedar trees, the trees of Lebanon, the trees of the fields, the fig tree and many, many more.

In Psalm 1, the blessed man is said to be like a tree planted by streams of living water that brings forth its fruit in season, that will never wither but will prosper.

Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was crucified on a cross that was made from a tree.

Take time to observe the trees around you. We can learn so many things from a tree. The tree is planted by streams of living water and receives nourishment to grow. Its branches reach out and provide so many things for our soul. It bears fruit for each season and its leaves follow the sun. We are to be like a tree, receiving nourishment from Jesus our living water. We are to grow and reach out to a lost world providing encouragement, comfort and love. As we grow we are to bear good fruit and every single moment of our life follow the SON.

Blessings and love to all!

In Christ,

Natasha

  1. This subject of a tree planted by the water made me think that years ago I used to listen to a song about it, but now, who wrote it and how it went has eluded me. I tried finding it on Youtube, but instead found a song written by Audrey Assad. Since I already love her music, I listened to it and was moved by it. It starts out about trees, but moves to much more about how God touches our lives.

Thanks for sharing. Have a blessed day!

  2. What a joy to be planted in the living Water and ti love in Jesus’ life. The world is a hard, corrupted place to live filled with so much chaos. But we can always allow Jesus to keep the leaves of our lives and His fruit of the Spirit full of color of grace.
