It is that wonderful day of the week again- Friday where we join Lisa-Jo Baker and a community of wonderful writers at Five Minute Friday. We are given a word prompt each Friday and we just write freely, with no editing, just what is in our hearts. It doesn’t need to be perfect, it is just a wonderful way of letting go and expressing what is deep in your heart. This week’s prompt is: Encouragement
Here I go….
We all feel wonderful when we are encouraged and we all need encouragement in our lives.
The word encouragement comes from the combination of the prefix “en” and the latin word “cor” which means heart. Something that we put into heart, into action.
I know I have been inspired and encouraged by so many wonderful people all throughout my life and especially this past year via the wonderful connections I have made via Facebook, blogging and the link ups.
In times when I was at a very low place someones words either written or spoken gave me strength to stand up again. Μany times in different moments of my life, acts, words of encouragement helped me move forward.
It is a wonderful thing to be encouraged but we must also encourage others. Encourage the small efforts of those who are trying to make changes in their life towards the better. We must stop looking at the faults of others and applaud the good things. We must try to find ways to express our encouragement to our loved ones and all those people around us, even strangers.
Try to see the best in others just like you would like others to see the best in you.
Encouragement is an action word… Let us put it to action.
Beloved let us encourage one another and walk together, strengthening each other as we wait upon our Lord’s return…
