It is that wonderful day of the week again- Friday where we join Lisa-Jo Baker and a community of wonderful writers at Five Minute Friday. We are given a word prompt each Friday and we just write freely, with no editing, just what is in our hearts. It doesn’t need to be perfect, it is just a wonderful way of letting go and expressing what is deep in your heart. This week’s prompt is: Visit
It is lovely spending time with people we love, friends and family. It is wonderful sharing moments with loved ones. Memories are created and cherished deep in the heart. I love to visit others and have others come visit me too.
We even get to visit others or have them visit us through the our social media pages and blogs via internet. Many of us are miles and miles away in different continents, countries and yet enjoy visiting one another through our blogs, Facebook pages, etc.
There are many different stories throughout God’s word concerning visits. Angels visiting men and women of God. The wise men and shepherds visiting the newborn baby Jesus. Jesus visiting the homes of the sick, tax collectors, friends. He is such an example for us.
Visiting is a form of communication, fellowship, bonding which brings joy, encouragement, hope to our heart.
Let us make it a part of our life to first visit with our Lord and then with those around us, not only our loved ones but even strangers. Pay a visit to someone who is in the hospital ill, or to someone who is homeless, or mourning the loss of a loved one, or is lonely, or in prison. Pay a visit to an orphanage, an elderly home and bring a smile, joy, encouragement to them.
Linking up with the wonderful community of Five Minute Friday. Pass by and visit these wonderful people and be blessed.
